Big Beard Photography

Based in Ireland, I am a wedding photographer with more than a decade of experience and a quietly adventurous approach. I live with my wife, Clare, our son Jack, and our little sausage dog, Frank — and you’ll often recognise me by my signature, glorious ginger beard.

My work is refined, documentary-led wedding photography: unobtrusive, emotive and rooted in genuine connection. I specialise in capturing the unrepeatable moments — the breath before you walk down the aisle, the private ways you touch and comfort one another, and the spontaneous laughter that fills the room. To do that I’ll happily wade through water, climb where others won’t, or join you on the dance floor — whatever it takes to create images that feel honest and timeless.

Relationships matter most to me. I take the time to know you, so I can translate who you are into photographs that become family heirlooms. I don’t rely on stiff poses; I seek the subtle gestures and unplanned exchanges that reveal your story — the notes read aloud, the small embraces, the little, perfect imperfections of the day.
