Christmas wedding bells at Castle Leslie!
Castle Leslie recently played host to the stunning and fun filled wedding of Maire & Eamon in November 25 where I was lucky enough to be tasked with being the lead photographer. Morning preparations kicked off at Maire’s parents beautiful home in Newry where I was warmly welcomed. The atmosphere was lively and fun as soon as Maire and her bridesmaids opened up and started pouring the champagne!
Their ceremony was a short five minutes drive away at the majestic Newry Cathedral. My first time shooting in this gorgeous chapel and I was so impressed with it’s architecture, marble work and stunning mosiacs! It was the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony and the brides entrance as she dazzled all of her family and friends walking down the sweeping aisle to meet Eamon.
As we arrived at Castle Leslie, we were greeted with the most perfect Winter weather – light cloudy skies and a gentle breeze – a photographers dream! We strolled around the breath taking grounds of the Castle keeping everything relaxed, candid and elegant with some gentle guidance from myself.
Shortly after our photos, and as the guests entered the Pavilion for speeches and dinner, loved ones shared stories of growing up followed by reflecting the couples journey together. There were many happy tears and bellies of laughter throughout.
The night ended with one of most entertaining and liveliest dance floors I’ve ever witnessed. The energy Maire and Eamon brought to their disco was just incredible and it allowed me to capture some stunning photos of their first dances and disco.
