When Should We Start Looking for Our Wedding Rings?

Once the venue is booked, the dress is chosen and the wedding plans are well underway, there’s one very important detail that sometimes gets left until much later — the wedding rings!

At Cobwebs Antiques & Jewellery, we always encourage couples to start looking for their wedding rings earlier than they might think.

So, when is the right time?

Ideally, we recommend starting around 9–12 months before your wedding day.

That doesn’t mean you need to make a decision straight away. Starting early simply gives you time to browse different styles, try rings on and discover what actually suits you.

A wedding ring can look completely different on your hand than it does in a photograph — and it’s particularly important to see how your wedding band sits alongside your engagement ring.

*Think about your wedding budget

Wedding rings are one of the few parts of your wedding that you’ll wear every single day long after the celebrations are over, so it makes sense to include them in your wedding budget from the beginning.

* Shopping early also gives you more flexibility with your finances. If you would prefer to spread the cost and pay towards your rings in instalments, starting early can make this much easier.

Don’t worry if you don’t know what you want. This is probably one of the things we hear most often:
