About Rachel Cooke Photography
I photograph weddings in a natural style, focusing on real moments, with a creative eye for light, composition and detail. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, so you can enjoy your day while I quietly capture it as it truly felt.
Alongside candid moments, I also create beautiful, relaxed portraits that are gently guided, never awkward, and don’t take up large parts of your wedding day.
I’ve been photographing weddings for over 14 years, with a background in fine art and photography, and I bring that experience into every wedding I photograph. My work is inspired by film photography, with true-to-life colour, beautiful black and white images, and a timeless feel that won’t date.
I photograph at least 50 weddings each year, across Northern Ireland, Ireland, the UK and abroad. I’m a recommended supplier at several leading venues and have been named one of the Top 20 UK Wedding Photographers by Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine.

“I hired Rachel for my wedding on the 1st June 2024. She was took the time to listen to us, was very receptive to what shots we wanted, and she was just so easy to talk to, I felt like I was talking to an old friend. On the wedding day itself, you could tell she was working really hard in the background, but also being inconspicuous and really blended in with the crowd. She was so easy to work with and to communicate to, and because she had done photoshoots at the locations of my ceremony (St Brigid’s) and reception (The Merchant) previously, she knew all the right locations and right timings to get the right shots. Rachel is not just an excellent photographer, she is also a professional in putting veils on too! My hairstylist left after she was done with my hair but we all had forgotten about the veil! But Rachel came to the rescue and pinned it down securely and perfectly! After the wedding we got the first 250 photos back from Rachel, and I was in absolute awe with the photos, and my folks can’t stop looking through them! Rachel, I can’t thank you enough for capturing our day so perfectly. “Rachel was undoubtedly an amazing choice for our Wedding day! From the moment we had our initial consultation, we knew straight away she was a great fit for us. Her communication was regular and she was very well organised. Prior to the wedding, she did our rehearsal photos and – wow – exceeded expectations. It was a very windy day and from looking at the photos, you wouldn’t have known this at all! They looked amazing, were very professional and on the day, she was great with our dog who we wanted to include in the photos. Then came the wedding day – arrived on time for both parties to take photos before the venue, engaged with all the guests and made everyone feel comfortable throughout the day – I noticed the guests also really enjoyed her company throughout.
