About Noah James Photography & Film
Hey, I’m Damien — your wedding photographer and videographer.
I’m incredibly grateful to call this my job and to do what I love for a living. My professional photography journey began with the birth of my son, Noah James — the moment that inspired both my passion and the name behind my work.
I specialise in natural, documentary-style wedding photography: real moments, genuine emotions, and nothing forced or staged. My focus is on capturing the personalities and connections that matter most to you, without awkward posing or interruptions.
My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive. With a few simple prompts and gentle direction when needed, everyone looks their best while still feeling like themselves. On the day, aside from our one-to-one time after the ceremony, I can be as hands on/off as you like — sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when no one is paying attention.

Choosing Damian Braniff as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made. From start to finish, he was professional, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease. Damian has a true gift for capturing natural, authentic moments — every photo tells a story and brings back the emotions of our day so vividly. We are absolutely thrilled with our wedding photos and will treasure them forever. We couldn’t recommend Damian highly enough. I honestly don’t know where to start - Damien is incredible. Every single moment of our day was captured so beautifully, and these are photos we will treasure forever. We booked Damien almost two years before our wedding, and with every wedding he shared in the lead-up to ours, we became even more excited for what was to come. We first met Damien at our engagement shoot - which also became our pregnancy announcement shoot - and the photos were absolutely perfect. From that moment, we knew we’d made the right decision choosing him as our photographer. On the wedding day, Damien fit in seamlessly. Alongside his nephew Jonathan, they captured every moment effortlessly while bringing such a fun, exciting energy to the day. They knew the venue inside out, had a clear vision for the best locations and shots and made the whole process feel natural and enjoyable. They really fed off our energy and made us feel completely at ease throughout. We received a preview gallery the next day, followed by our full gallery not long after, and honestly, the photos exceeded anything we could have imagined. I still can’t decide which ones to display in our house - there are just too many favourites. If you’re even slightly unsure about who to book for your wedding day, choose Damien and Jonathan. They are the perfect duo and we truly cannot thank them enough. They are incredibly talented, and we know they’ll go so far in this industry. We’re so glad to have been part of their journey too

We couldn't have asked for a better photographer than Damien! From our first conversation he was so friendly and easy to speak to! Damien made us feel comfortable in-front of the camera, he was so relaxed, captured so many beautiful memories and had so many creative ideas! Damien sent us a preview of our day by the next morning which was so exciting to get! We absolutely love the photos we have received so far, and the video that he captured on his old school camcorder was amazing! We couldn't recommend him enough!📷 ⭐

If I was to give anyone wedding planning advice, it would be to choose a photographer who will make you feel relaxed, confident and comfortable. And that is exactly how you will feel working with Damien!! Matthew and I were pretty nervous about getting our photos taken but the entire process was so smooth and honestly really enjoyable!!!! On your wedding day, you spend a lot of time with your photographer, so it is really important that they bring the right energy and vibe, and Damien did exactly that. From getting ready in the morning, to the ceremony and reception, right through to the meal, reception, and the AMAZING golden hour, Damien brought such a positive and relaxed vibe. He did a fantastic job of creating organic moments in between poses that resulted in some really beautiful and GENUINE candid moments. I also felt really comfortable to ask him for specific shots if I had a vision for something. On Damien’s website he says that he captures how the day feels and that couldn’t be more true. My wedding day was the happiest day of my life but actually seeing the pure joy on our faces in the photos is real magic and I will truly treasure our photos forever! Not to mention the fact that Damien captured some really special candids of our guests. Damien worked seamlessly with our other vendors which makes a huge difference! Also I couldn’t believe when we woke up the next morning after our wedding that he had shared loads of photos with us already!!! In addition, our full gallery was received way sooner than we expected which is such a bonus!!!! I would 100% recommend Damien as a wedding photographer and if you chose him you will not regret it!!!

I could not recommend Damien enough! Me and my husband have been sitting this past hour and a half grinning like Cheshire cats looking at all the photos from we have received them. They are absolutely amazing! Damien is so incredibly talented and we are so so grateful he was able to play such a huge part in our day. Damien made us both feel so comfortable and made the day so easy, capturing every thing we wanted and all the bits in between. We truly felt like we were reliving the day looking back through all the photos. We’ve been recommending Damien to everyone and hope to see him again soon ❤️ Thank you so much for capturing our day ❤️

Just wow! From the moment we first met Damien, we knew we had made the right decision. Damien is an absolute gentleman and you can genuinely see how much passion, care and effort he puts into his work. Damien played a much bigger role in our wedding day than simply being our photographer. From the very beginning, he made us feel completely at ease and throughout the day he was always there to keep us right, make us laugh and help everything run smoothly. Having someone like Damien there made such a difference, and we honestly feel like he became part of the day rather than just someone we had hired to take photos. At the same time, Damien captured every special moment beautifully. Looking back through our photos, we are amazed at how he managed to capture not only the big moments but also all the little details, emotions and memories that made our day so special. We now have the most incredible photographs that we will treasure forever, and for that we cannot thank you enough. Every single photo turned out absolutely stunning, and choosing our favourites has been nearly impossible! The quality of Damien’s work speaks for itself, but what really sets him apart is the person he is and the way he makes you feel throughout the whole experience. This isn’t so much a recommendation for Damien as it is us telling you to book him! There is simply no better man to capture your special day.
